HPC Cloud & Hybrid Integration
Integrate cloud resources without losing control of cost, data and workflows.
Cloud bursting and hybrid deployments can be powerful tools when used with clear boundaries. This service helps define which workloads belong on-premise, which can burst to cloud and how identity, data and scheduling should behave in each case.
We evaluate options such as AWS ParallelCluster, Azure CycleCloud or OpenStack-based solutions and map them to your existing scheduler and storage. Data locality, caching layers and egress costs are treated explicitly rather than left as afterthoughts.
The deliverables include reference architectures, cost guardrails and a minimal set of workflows that can be piloted safely before committing to larger migrations.
Case study – Controlled cloud bursting for deadlines
A team faced a fixed deadline for a large parameter sweep that exceeded on-premise capacity. Fully migrating the workflow to the cloud was too risky and time-consuming.
We designed a small, controlled bursting setup where only the embarrassingly parallel part of the workload moved to the cloud. Identity and job submission still went through the on-premise scheduler, while data movement was scripted and monitored. The project met its deadline without permanently increasing infrastructure cost.
